START Moving

After working 10 years in the moving industry with two national moving companies, Sheryl Start founded START Moving in response to her observations that many Senior citizens were in need of additional services not offered by traditional moving companies.  In addition, Sheryl discovered that many Seniors were avoiding the process of downsizing and relocating because they were overwhelmed by the job.  These seniors spend their later years weighed down by a home filled with possessions collected during the last 30 years that are no longer needed, wanted or usable.  At START Moving our goal is to provide the emotional and physical support to help seniors "lighten the load" and free themselves to live a lifestyle that better meets their emotional and physical needs.  We can help you START Moving to a better way of life.

 

START Moving is located in the greater Des Moines area and provides service to surrounding communities within a 100 mile radius.  START Moving is bonded and insured and a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers.
