START Moving is designed to meet the needs of older adults who face the task of downsizing and relocating to a new residence or adapting a current residence to meet their physical needs.  At START Moving, we work one on one with our senior clients to physically assist and emotionally support them through the process of downsizing and relocating, knowing the end result will bring more joy and an ease of living to their lives. After a free initial consultation, prospective clients are presented with a plan formulated to meet their needs within the known time constraints, while keeping in mind the primary goal of working efficiently to ease the stress of the transition. Together we'll START Moving to a simpler way of life.
 

 

When should you START Moving? 
Now!  Your family home may be your single largest asset.  Having your home ready to place on the market when needed could put thousands of dollars in your pocket and significantly ease the stress of the relocation. 
 
Start by:
  • communicating with family and friends about your future plans.  It will make the transition easier for everyone involved.
  • having family discussions about what is "fair" when transferring property
  • no longer storing the possessions of adult children and siblings
  • giving away material possessions as gifts.  It's a wonderful feeling to see someone enjoying one of your prized possessions.
